5AM Thoughts

The thoughts that usually show up before the world wakes up. 5AM Thoughts is a collection of personal reflections, late-night realizations, insecurities, fears, lessons, storytimes, quiet conversations with myself, and the emotionally honest thoughts that tend to surface when life gets still enough to hear them clearly.

Some entries are about love. Some are about healing. Some are about Black womanhood, identity, loneliness, becoming, relationships, joy, grief, or figuring life out in real time.

And some are simply the thoughts that hit me when Peri decides 5AM is the perfect time for us to process life together. This space isn’t about perfection or pretending to have all the answers. It’s about honesty. The messy middle. The overthinking. The breakthroughs. The contradictions. The growth. And the journey of becoming a Black woman who is learning herself out loud.

Think of this as a glimpse into my personal journal — the thoughts I’m still unpacking, the lessons I’m still learning, and the conversations I believe more Black women deserve space to have openly.

Welcome to my 5AM thoughts.
